Stars: Mick Pealing: Mal Eastick Boundary Rider CD

Iconic 70's Country Rock band 'STARS' are back again with a brand new highly anticipated album 'Boundary Rider,' named after the last co-written Mal Eastick/Andy Durant track.

The albums first single "Time Stands Still" went straight to radio on high rotation. The track co-written by Mick Pealing and Nick Charles very cleverly tells the history of this iconic band's musical journey. The new material penned by Mick Pealing and Nick Charles has overtones of STARS of yesteryear's authentic Country Rock sound with a modern fusion of blues.

Included on 'Boundary Rider' are a couple of original Durant/Eastick songs Pick Up the Pieces, Living a Lie, and Jive Town, re-recorded especially for the album. There is brilliant rockabilly number Sunburnt Land just to showcase the versatility of this fabulous band.

Mick Pealing's distinct rich vocals are second to none and will deliver the fans a trip down memory lane. The band are tight and dynamic, they have a clear connection with their audience that is a tribute to the bands level of experience and expertise.

STARS have reunited after 40 years with the original Paradise album line-up of Mick Pealing, Mal Eastick, Glyn Dowding and Roger McLachlan, featuring Nick Charles on guitar.

Originally from Adelaide Stars moved to Melbourne after being discovered by Beeb Birtles of Little River Band. By this stage Andy Durant had joined the band and began writing some of the most notable Australian songs before his untimely death at the age of 25.

STARS supported The Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt, and Joe Cocker and toured extensively to sell out shows Australia wide. Many have said their country rock blend coupled with Durant's lyrics were well ahead of their time and are often referred as Australia's Eagles.
