Alaskan indie rockers, PORTUGAL. THE MAN have announced the arrival of their latest album, Woodstock which is released on June 16. It is their eighth album which comes with a Latin twist, utilising huapango guitars, dream synths and drums machines. Interactive and hybrid, Woodstock offers up infectious handclaps, dancefloor ready drums, all anchored together by a moody, wriggling bass line influenced from their previous album Evil Friends, which was realised over three years ago. Playing together since high school, officially formed in 2004, Portugal. The Man, have combined the music video’s memorizing multi coloured visuals with the up tempo new tunes such as “Feel It Still”, which has now reached over 1.6 million views on YouTube. The band consists of John Gourley, Zach Carothers, Kyle O'Quin, Jason Sechrist and Eric Howk. The band's song Heavy Games was featured on a trailer for the fourth season of The Walking Dead. They have collaborated with Mike D from The Beastie Boys, Yoko Ono and Este and Danielle Haim.
