Grime legend Skepta’s Mercury Prize winning album “Konnichiwa” receives its long awaited LP release “Konnichiwa” beat out albums by David Bowie and Radiohead for the Mercury Prize, one of the UK’s most prestigious album awards. “Konnichiwa” also appeared in best of lists from The Guardian, The Independent, Pitchfork, Mojo and NME The album features Wiley, Pharrell Williams, Novelist, D Double E, Skepta’s brother JME along with their collective Boy Better Know. Single ‘Shutdown’ was voted in at #68 on last year’s triple j Hottest 100 and the album also includes the singles ‘That’s Not Me’, ‘It Ain’t Safe’, ‘Ladies Hit Squad’ and ‘Man’. Skepta was in Australia last summer for festival performances in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane ‘Shutdown’ was certified SILVER in the UK – 200K singles sold Skepta currently features on Lethal Bizzle’s track ‘I Win’ and made a guest appearance on Drake’s album “More Life”
