• Yak’s debut album ‘Alas Salvation’ will be released in Australia via Octopus Electrical via Kobalt Label Services. • Just over a year since their first single ‘Hungry Heart’ was released – a period that saw their unpredictable gigs and electrifying clutch of studio recordings earn them a reputation as the most exciting and talked about new act in the UK – Yak have channeled their ferocious live experience into their debut album ‘Alas Salvation’. • The news of the band’s debut album follows the release of a string of highly praised singles (‘Hungry Heart’ and ‘Plastic People’ via Fat Possum in the U.S.) and most recently the ‘No’ 7” EP that was released via Jack White’s Third Man Records and saw single and title track ‘No’ added to spot rotation on Triple J • In February 2016, the band released their single and video for ‘Victorious (National Anthem)’ Watch the video here • Their latest single & video 'Harbour The Feeling’ was announced on March 30th. Directed by Ben Crook, it features friends of the band rodeoing on a fully mechanised Yak (as constructed by singer Oli Burslem).
