• Nobody but Mark Pritchard could have made an album like Under the Sun because nobody has had the musical life that he has • This is an album forged from almost a quarter century of immersion and exploration in the most vital underground scenes the world has to offer, friendship and musical alliance with generations of the most important musicians alive, and hard graft in the studio under innumerable aliases • Pritchard has worked under the names Africa HiTech (with Steve Spacek), Harmonic 313, Jedi Knights and Global Communication to name a few • He has released music on labels as prestigious as Hyperdub, Deep Medi Musik and Ninja Tune spanning genres as diverse as footwork, jungle, dubstep, techno, breakbeat, hardcore and ambient • He has received praise from artists like The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk • The album has an incredible line up of featured artists including Thom York, Bibio, Linda Perhacs and Beans • Pritchard will also be participating in this year’s Red Bull Music Academy NYC, showcasing the new album with an immersive audio visual installation in collaboration with visual artist Jonathan Zawada
