Michael Caine and Shirley MacLaine star in a delightful, yet deadly game of international cat-and-mouse.

In Hong Kong, a dapper English cat burglar (Michael Caine) enlists the aid of a Eurasian dancer (Shirley MacLaine) to help him in an elaborate caper to grab and age-old artifact from the heavily secured palace of a powerful Middle Eastern tycoon. Unfortunately, the foolproof scheme begins to backfire shortly after it starts and the duo must pull out all stops if they hope to come out on top. GAMBIT, made just after Michael Caines triumph in ALFIE, provides plenty of twists and turns to keep audiences guessing to the very end with its classic comic-heist plot. Caine and MacLaine shine as the mis-matched thieves and are joined by the great Herbert Lom (THE RETURN OF THE PINK PANTHER).
