Not long after forming in 2003, Parkway Drive soon released a split EP with Adelaide's I Killed The Prom Queen and not long after 3 other tracks appeared on a Byron Bay hardcore compilation 'What We Built'. As an underground following evolved they started to appear on more compilations and in 2005 released their debut EP 'Don't Close Your Eyes'. Now out of print in Australia, 'Don't Close Your Eyes' is once again available in the USA, remastered with new artwork and includes all the bands earlier recordings, taken from 'What We Built' and 'True Till Death' compilations and the I Killed The Prom Queen split, some of these tracks never heard from their new legion of fans.
