LEGEND OF THE NORTHWESTERN - At the start of the 2012 King Crab season, Captain Sig Hansen squared off with younger brother Edgar, who was trying to take over the captains chair from Sig. The fight was fueled by bad blood that had been brewing for decades, a fight that started in 1977, when father Sverre first built the infamous 125-foot F/V Northwestern. Raised in Norway, Sverre learned from his father a style of fishing that was highly successful, but brutal on the crew. Follow the Hansen family during the summer off season as they try to juggle the Northwesterns tendering operation (where Sigs daughter is a deckhand) and their own family obligations.
