JULIAN BANKS TRIO is made up of long time friends and musical allies, in Julian Banks (tenor saxophone), Christopher Hale (6 string semi acoustic bass guitar) and James Hauptmann (drums, cymbals). After years of playing together in different bands and ensemble make-ups these three accomplished musicians have formed a truly unique sound, that leaves you wondering how such a full and lusty soundscape can be achieved by just three people. The self titled EP “Julian Banks Trio” is a short but sweet 6 tracks of melodic bliss, where Banks’ saxophone projects long, crystalline melodies, over the powerful, groove based accompaniment of Hale and Hauptmann.
