Awakening

Penny and the Sopranos (formerly known as The Ten Sopranos) release their new album The Awakening on May 23rd. Consisting of twelve enchanting pieces, the album appeals to those who enjoy new and alternative styles of classical vocal recordings. The album has been referred to as a little like Secret Garden meets the world of Opera with a touch of "The Hooked On Classics".

Penny is an internationally renowned soprano who has sung in both classical and contemporary competitions around the world, from North and South America to Australia, Europe and throughout Asia.

The Awakening highlights the group’s outstanding vocal talents with both original songs and a selection of well-known classics. From Puccini's NessunDorma and Beethoven’s Fur Elise to Bellini’s incomparable Casta Diva, Penny & The Sopranos have taken some of the best melodies in classical history and turned them into spectacular songs performed with the twist of a dance beat and new age production.
