Los Angeles’ De Lux are a post-disco, dance-punk, DIY duo that sounds like they could have come out of 1979 or 1982 just as easily as 2014. Founders and multi-instrumentalists Sean Guerin and Isaac Franco were both after the same thing in music – the groove; where the bass and the beat align in a perfect way that makes you want a song to go on forever.

First single ‘Better At Making Time’ marks the moment when De Lux became a band. Sean insisted they record the track when he heard Isaac’s out-of-nowhere bass line that the song was built from. Drawing comparisons to the likes of LCD Soundsystem and Talking Heads, the single fuses the funk and groove of disco mashed with nuances of jangly guitar with a bit of cow bell thrown in for good measure.
