The pairing of probably the world's most famous and accomplished oboist, with the UK's celebrated vocal ensemble The King's Singers is a heavenly musical partnership. The interplay of colours, melodies and harmonies between these performers enchant and delight in Baroque, classical and seasonal favorites.

Mayer, the oboist with the magical tone, is renowned for the sublime singing quality of his playing. On "Let It Snow" the tone of his oboe blends magnificently with the silky sounds of a group that has been entertaining audiences across the globe since 1968.

This specially chosen mixed-genre programme is woven around the theme of winter: snow, ice, fireplaces, sleigh rides, Christmas, New Year's, and Chanukkah.
