From the heat of Spanish Harlem, to the spitfire of "Chill-town" known as Jersey City, New Jersey, at an early age hip-hop artist Joe Budden answered the call of his artistic destiny. This gifted wordsmith seemed to transition effortlessly from street ciphers, rap battles and local shows where he would rip the mic regularly, to the promising position of down-to-earth rap superstar. In 2003, Budden released his debut solo studio album, JOE BUDDEN. It included his 2003 summer hit "Pump It Up," and was also featured in the soundtrack for the movie 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS and the video game DEF JAM VENDETTA & DEF JAM FIGHT FOR NY. The song "Focus" was also featured in the game and Joe Budden was also a character. Its second single was "Fire" featuring Busta Rhymes. The song "Drop Drop" was featured on the soundtrack for the movie CRADLE 2 THE GRAVE. Joe Budden is also a member of super-group Slaughterhouse which consists of Crooked I, Royce Da 5'9 and Joell Ortiz. Budden's latest album MOOD MUZIK 4 features tracks such as "Pray For Them," "Come Along," "Remember the Titans," "Sober Up" and more.
