The double album “For You” features a selection of more than 30 of the most famous classical piano pieces ever. From Bach’s famous “Jesu, Man of Joy’s Desiring”, Beethoven’s “For Elise” and the “Rustle of Spring” by Christian Sinding to pieces by Michael Nyman or French cult composer Yann Tiersen.

The Ukrainian born pianist Alena Cherny studied at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Kiev and then pursued solo studies at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau, graduating in each case with highest honors. 

Alena Cherny is a passionate music teacher. With her album “For You” she wanted to present a top ranking of favourite piano pieces in a an exemplary manner; pieces every piano pupil wants to play. At the same time she wanted to record a selection of her best loved piano music.
