Edgeland

Karl Hyde is one half of seminal electronic act Underworld. The band is perhaps best known for "Born Slippy," a track made popular in the Danny Boyle film TRAINSPOTTING. 'EDGELAND' is Karl Hyde's debut solo album

Having worked with Leo Abrahams on the Brian Eno led Pure Scenius project, Karl Hyde once again collaborated with him on "Edgeland", a deliberately more spontaneous and organic project compared to his work with Underworld. The album was lyrically and conceptually inspired by the city’s hinterlands and hidden corners.

In keeping with the theme of the album, the artwork for "Edgeland" was shot by renowned photographer Perou. The image was shot in Essex, on the outskirts of London amongst the city's hinterlands.
