Californian 5-piece outfit NEUROSIS have been gracing the post-rock scene since their establishment in 1985. For nearly three decades, the five-piece have mesmerized audiences, infusing doom metal with dark ambient, industrial and psychedelic sound scapes, releasing a multitude of albums over the years. With the right kind of ears and eyes, it seems as though trials and tribulations of mankind are being channeled through these five individuals: STEVE VON TILL (vocals/guitars), SCOTT KELLY (vocals/guitars), DAVE EDWARDSON (bass), NOAH LANDIS (keyboards), and JASON ROEDER (drums). 'HONOUR FOUND IN DECAY' is the follow up to the band's acclaimed 2007-release 'GIVEN TO THE RISING'. The album represents a world which is both torturous and transcendent and is the ongoing exposition of a vast internal dialogue that seems to carry the weight of eons. And yet, they will be the first ones to tell you that they are just regular people trying to make sense of the world around them. Aided by JOSH GRAHAM, their resident visual director, the band transmits their interpretations through multiple sensory planes. The band's latest project prompts listeners to step out of their everyday lives, and step into the distance between thinking and doing.
