Chasing Mavericks

The soundtrack is a pop compilation of hits from the 90s, including songs by Dinosaur Jr., Mazzy Star, The Lemonheads and others.

Included is also "I Need An Energy", a new original song by New York-based British singer-songwriter Greg Holden, who is mostly known for his hit charity single "The Lost Boy" and for co-writing the critically acclaimed "Home", American Idol-winner Phillip Phillips' 2012 debut single, which has topped the US iTunes singles chart. Holden has toured throughout Europe and the United States as a headliner and as a support act for the likes of Ingrid Michaelson.

The final score track of the album, "Score Suite", was composed by Chad Fischer, drummer of the band Lazlo Bane, best known for the NBC Scrubs theme song, Superman. Chad, L.A. based producer and composer, has developed an accomplished career as a film and television composer, having scored the hit, Garden State, and Little Manhattan. Recently, Chad provided the atmospheric score for the edgy drama, The Babysitters, as well as wrote the songs and score for The Rocker. He is currently working on his second season of the Grey's Anatomy spin-off, Private Practice, along with fellow Lazlo Bane guitarist, Timothy Bright.
