After forming in Melbourne 2010, as a bunch of friends messing around in the studio under the guidance of band leader Jarrad Brown, Eagle and the Worm spent 2011 on the road; performing around Australia and Europe on the back of what became their critically acclaimed debut album "GoodTimes". "Strangelove" is the latest recording from the Melbourne outfit, being recorded mostly live at the Sound Park studios, engineered by Steven Schram, and mixed by Steven Schram and Jarrad Brown. Musically, Strangelove traverses through strange worlds of pop music derived from the near past, taking cues from 70's and 80 Americana, as well as pushing into some newer sounds for Eagle. First single 'Give Me Time' is an evolution of Eagle and the Worm in the studio. Messing with loops, and synths, multiple bass tracks and the likes. Blending styles into a party 8 piece band stage show- mashing pop music, 60's vocal harmonies, songs, jams, 3 piece horn section.The EATW road train has been working and evolving constantly over the last year- Collaborating with the likes of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble (Chicago), Big Freedia (New Orleans), and Milwaukee MC Juiceboxxx, producer Steven Schram.
