Producer, remixer, audio-engineer, label owner (Soulfooled) and DJ Alex Niggemann gained an international reputation with his releases on various labels including Tsuba, Ostwind, Supernature, 8bit, Darkroom, Poker Flat and his remixes for the likes of Gorge, Booka Shade, Phonique/Louie Austen, Spektre and many more. He already achieved a top position (#8) on Resident Advisor‘s 'Top 20 Charted Artists'! His solid reputation has opened the doors to some of the world's leading, most influential clubs, including Ibiza's 'Space' & 'Privilege', 'D-Edge' Brasil and 'Watergate' in Berlin and he will be on a world tour once more around the album release.
The retro-meets-nu-school grooves of Niggemann's 11-track debut album 'Paranoid Funk' fit perfectly to the man behind the beats. A classically trained pianist who gave up the ivory keys for a more technological dream, the young 26 year old producer joins a new wave of artists enjoying a steady resurgence in deep, groovy and indeed sexy house music. Berlin's Alex Niggemann is one of an exciting new run of artists to arrive on Steve Bug‘s established Poker Flat Recordings, bringing fresh, high quality house music to the world's dancefloors. In his own words Alex set out to "create an album which is different to typical club or listening albums... where songs fit together (even when having different styles) without being too similar".
