His big break came with the release of ‘Call On Me’, which sampled Steve Winwood’s “Valerie” and was a global no.1 hit in 2004. Following the explosion of the single as a global commercial hit, Eric created Pryda as an alias his for progressive house Djing– pronounced “pride-ah” . He set about releasing a string of tracks and EP’s which would see him elevated to superstar status on his own terms, and become the most respected dance music producer of his generation. Ask any A-list DJ from John Digweed, Sasha and Carl Cox, to David Guetta and the Swedish House Mafia, and they will say one thing – Eric is a genius.
Eric Prydz Presents Pryda is the first time that his fans will have been able to get all the tracks that have been previously released and all the hits that Eric has been playing in the clubs for years in 1 place. It will be released as a 3 x disc album. Disc 1 is made up of new unreleased Pryda productions which some fans may have heard as works in progress (including Shadows, Agag, Mighty Love and Allein). Discs 2 and 3 bring together many of the classic tracks from the Pryda catalogue, sequenced and mixed by Eric himself, and including some of his special re-edits.
