101 PAVAROTTI - This 6CD collection of 101 favourite tracks presents the very best of Luciano Pavarotti, one of the greatest tenors of all time, who brought opera to a whole new audience with The Three Tenors phenomenon, and also collaborated with pop artists through his Pavarotti and Friends concerts. The box set is themed, with the first three discs filled entirely with popular opera arias by Puccini, Verdi and Donizetti, among others, starting with the most famous of all arias, ‘Nessun dorma’. The fourth disc is entirely devoted to sacred music, while the final two discs celebrate popular song, including the best-loved Neapolitan Songs that were such a feature of this artist’s repertoire.
