André fans, both present and new, will be delighted to know that following the hugely successful “My African Dream” released last year, his new musical conquest, that of Mexico, brings with it the handy, snappy format of “docu-concert” where you get both, a five-part documentary as well as a full concert in a generously-filled double-DVD set –some three-and-a-half hours of entertainment.

The five-part documentary starts with André?s sudden illness which, after decades of never missing a concert, causes him to realise that there?s human too in every superhuman. From recording his beautiful concert in the Flower Island of Mainau(Roses from the South), to giving concerts in Maastricht where a group of African children perform as guests (their first trip outside South Africa). And finally, they arrive in Mexico. This is the first time a concert has been planned there so the Mexicans are wildly enthusiastic. But there?s a problem with the instruments. Can the concert go ahead?
