Winner Directing Award 2007 Sundance Film festival

Hal Hefner (Reece Thompson from Assassination of a High School President) is a shy 15 year-old boy whos struggling to make it through High School. On top of his parents recent divorce and an obsessive - compulsive, kleptomaniac older brother, Hal suffers from a severe stutter. In spite of this speech impediment, the high school debating team star, Ginny Ryerson (Anna Kendrick, nominated for an Oscar for Up In The Air), invites Hal to join the team, informing him deformed people are the best because they hold the most anger. Hal falls in love, finds some self-confidence and finally realises that life and happiness are not rocket science.
