Comedians Griff Rhys Jones, Rory McGrath and Dara O'Briain set out to re-create Jerome K. Jerome's jaunt up the River Thames from Kingston Surrey to Oxford in a replica of the vessel used by the Victorian author in his celebrated literary classic Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog). Accompanied by a nervous dog called Loli they set out in a wooden skiff. They struggle to come to grips with the practicalities of camping, cooking al fresco and the art of skiffing all the while bickering and bantering. Highlights of the first program include a visit to the palatial houseboatcum- studio of Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour.
