It's always a special moment when a songwriter finds their voice. For Mark Sholtez that moment is captured with precision on the new album ‘The Difference Between Two Truths’. With an ARIA Top 30 album ARIA Jazz & Blues chart #1 album already under his belt, Mark Sholtez has delivered an intensely personal, vulnerable selection of tracks, recorded in their purest form. Sholtez was nominated for an ARIA award in that same year, and in 2007 won a coveted APRA Music Award. Charmed by his production work with Madeleine Peroux, Sholtez tapped American producer Larry Klein to produce this masterpiece, with Klein successfully capturing the perfect vibe by insisting on keeping many first takes. Sholtez' lyrics on this release are some of his most personal yet - inspired by some of his favourite musical storytellers, with beautiful collaborations with Alex Lloyd, Aqualung's Matt Hales, Shane Nicholson, and Iain Archer, who co-wrote Snow Patrol's breakthrough album ‘Final Straw’.
