Since forming in mid-2008, Melbourne four-piece The Box Rockets have been honing their melodic songwriting nous and greedily surfing their way through their hometown's live music scene. Blending the sounds of the Beatles and The Smiths with punk influences Television and Interpol, The Box Rockets' music is in parts heavy and anthemic, warm and whimsical, occasionally pointed. Their debut 'Throwing Stones EP' features five tracks which demonstrate the band's forward-thinking, creative scope served up with a classic, organic flavour.
