Pulse:A Stomp Odyssey

Exploring rhythm, song and dance around the world, the new large format IMAX film, PULSE! Is a vibrant, visually astounding experience. Our guides for this global journey are Stomp, the acclaimed group of percussive performers who can be seen in their hit show which has played in front of hundreds of thousands of fans on stages around the world. Throughout PULSE, the cast of Stomp travels from New York City to the American Southwest, Africa, South America, Asia and Europe. Along the way they meet and perform with gumboot dancers, djembe players, bell ringers, flamenco dancers, marching bands and street performers. The resulting sounds and images of these collaborations are mesmerizing. Six Degrees has captured the amazing music of this film on the original soundtrack recording of PULSE: A STOMP ODYSSEY. Some of the world's greatest percussion ensembles including Spain's flamenco sensation Eva Yerbabuena, South Africa's Khoi San Qwil Music art's Trust, Brazil's Carlinhos Brown & Timbalada and The American Indian Dance Theatre are featured on the soundtrack. In addition, Six Degrees has commissioned a series of exclusive remixes from original Police drummer, Stewart Copeland as well as label artists Karsh Kale and Bob Holroyd to bring modern perspective to some of these ancient percussion traditions.
