V RECORDS presents ‘Retrospect Vol. 1’: 22 classic tracks taken from the impressive back catalogue of this drum & bass heavyweight. Few labels could release this many tracks on one volume and still have more left for future series. The track list is mighty.

CD1 compiled by DJ KRUST starts off with his iconic track “Warhead” with its sparse heavy rolling beats and includes DJ DIE’s “Autumn”, classic DILLINJA with “Soul Control” “Angles” and RONI SIZE’s “Dayz” The tracks are not mixed so the full effect of each one is played out til the end.

JUMPING JACK FROST takes over on CD2 and there’s no let up. First up is ADAM F with “Brand New Funk”, followed by Roni Size’s “It’s a Jazz Thing” and including a remix of ED RUSH & OPTICAL’s “Funktion”, “LK” the UK Top 20 hit by DJ MARKY & XRS. This is the first time that many of these tracks will be available unmixed on CD.
