Following the deadly climax of “Green Street Hooligans”, several members of the West Ham firm and numerous members of Millwall end up in jail. The GSE discover a different kind of brutality on the inside, where the better financed Millwall crew colludes with the prison guards to make life unbearable for our boys. Of course football is followed fervently by the prisoners… both the outside matches and inside prison games. Wins and losses are quickly followed by punishment or reward – from a ruck the guards turn blind eye towards to an extra day of visitation – all of it inspiring extreme behaviour.
When overcrowding compels the early release of an fortunate few, fate brings West Ham and Millwall together again – this time in a fight disguised as a football game. The stakes are the highest they have ever been for all concerned with death or freedom quite literally a goal away. Game on.
