Things are not going well for the soused owner of a debt-ridden Irish castle so he opens it as a haunted bed-and-breakfast and dictates that his staff dress in sheets. They scare up more than the tourists when the former, now deceased, residents join in the games.

A hilarious, star-studded ghost romp from director Neil Jordan. Peter Plunkett (O’Toole) sets about saving his English castle by claiming it is haunted and renting it out to gullible tourists. Naturally enough some real ghosts decide to join the party (including a hot, young Liam Neesom) and hi-jinx begin!
