In one of the most pristine landscapes left on Earth just outside the Arctic Circle a team working to exploit Alaska's rich oil reserves encounters troubling and unexplained occurrences. After one team member is found dead, the surviving members struggles to hold onto their sanity as cabin fever sets in and they begin to experience visions of a menace that emanates from the ancient ground. It appears Mother Nature herself may be voicing her opposition to the pillaging and has summoned forth the Last Winter.
