Buena Vista Social Club, the legendary album produced by Ry Cooder, is the biggest selling world music album ever, with over 8 million records sold.

Now for the first time comes the recording of the historic performance at New York’s famous Carnegie Hall, which became the centrepiece of the hugely successful film directed by Wim Wenders.

Until now, apart from the moments seen in the film, the music from that magical, memorable night has only ever been heard by the lucky few who were privileged to be there.

Though there were many artist albums in its wake, this is only the second album ever released by the original Buena Vista Social Club, and is a superb 10th Anniversary tribute release.

Produced by Ry Cooder, the album features brilliant and unrepeatable performances by Cuban musical legends including Ibrahim Ferrer, Compay Segundo, Ruben González, Eliades Ochoa, Omara Portuondo, Cachaíto López and Guajiro Mirabal.

This special double CD comes in a lavish package with a 32 page booklet, including previously unpublished photographs and sleeve-notes by Ry Cooder and the members of the BVSC.
