Australian boxing legend Johnny Famechon was one of the greatest boxers Australia's ever seen. The Fight Night Series is proud to make available what were arguably his three most important fights in his thrilling career.Famechon Vs. Jose Legra:The fight was set for the Albert Hall, London on January 21 1969 and Legra was a 5-1 favourite. The Cuban was 26 and had won 54 fights straight, going back to 1965. But not the type that most in the crowd imagined. He had Famechon actually winning by a point. Both fighters believed they had won the match, and a re-match was certain. It was set for January 6, 1970 at the Municipal Gymnasium, Tokyo. The popular Harada was understandably the favourite, out not only to add the featherweight title to his previous honours at fly and bantamweight, but to avenge the shame of his defeat in the Martial Arts Hall two years earlier against another Australian legend, Lionel Rose.
