Written and created by BAFTA-award winning Kay Mellor (Band Of Gold, Playing The Field, Fat Friends, Gifted), The Chase is a fast-paced, witty exploration the lives of a family of vets struggling to run their Yorkshire practice whilst dealing with their emotional baggage. The Chase is set around the world of the Chevin Chase Veterinary Surgery in Yorkshire, which George Williams (Keith Barron, Where The Heart Is, Duty Free) runs with his daughter Anna (Gaynor Faye, Coronation Street, Fat Friends), son-in-law Tom and two other practice partners, Rick Johnson and Ian Fraser. Completing the team are nurse Fiona, outwardly confident yet hiding a deep secret, practice manager and Rick's wife Deborah, who suffers delusions of grandeur, and Matt, a trendy young nurse.
