The Quarry X-box and/or PS5 – The Quarry is a new horror-themed game for the PS5 and X-Box Series X. The game plays out like a film, allowing the player to make decisions through quick-time events that effect how the story plays out. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill game, using ‘butterfly effect’ technology to create a new path every time a decision is made. The concept isn’t new, being used in Supermassive Games ‘Until Dawn’. This game is a lot of fun to play in a group setting and it would be great fun to play it with your Dad. The game is reminiscent of slasher films from the 1980s, with a real nostalgic feel to the gameplay and the setting. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I think your Dad will appreciate the thought and it will make for a fun, unique and immersive experience.

Spacey Jane ‘Here Comes Everybody’ CD and Vinyl – All Dads like music. It is normally a combination of soft-country and 1980s rock. If you want to mix it up and give your Dad something to listen to that is definitely a little different, then Spacey Jane’s latest album ‘Here Comes Everybody’ is a great place to start. The album is Spacey Jane’s third studio album and, in my opinion, is their best outing yet. Giving listeners thought-provoking lyrics mixed with the band's signature, Western Australian, sun-bleached guitar sound. The album features some of the band's best tracks including: ‘Hardlight’, ‘Sitting Up’, ‘Lot’s of Nothing’, ‘Lunchtime’ and ‘It’s Been A Long Day’. This is a must-listen to for Dad’s who are a fan of Australian Indie-Rock. You can’t go wrong here.

Game of Thrones (Complete Series) – DVD/Blu-Ray/4K UHD – Another show that Dads collectively loved was HBO’s masterpiece ‘Game of Thrones. The show is universally adored by millions of fans from around the globe and now that the show has finished, you can relive it, in all its glory on physical media with DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD releases of the show in its entirety now available. Everyone needs to have a show on the go, and I guarantee during the lockdown, your Dad has managed to smash out a few, so what better show is there than ‘Game of Thrones. All 8 seasons are available in this set, which also contains amazing special features, including: Interviews with the cast and crew, making-of shorts, and gag reels. This is a great set and an amazing gift for Dad, but again be warned, your Dad will likely be quoting the show for days after re-watching it.
