The euro-pop-avant-garde-electronicacoustic- keyboard-vocal-instrumental duo Augst & Daemgen have put new life into the alternative scene of frankfurt, germany. singer augst and keyboardist/mixologist/urban archaeologist daemgen have changed the way songs are sung in germany. The first CD consists of music by peer raben (who had had been known as the soundtrack composer for movie director r.w. fassbinder). daemgen shines with the use of little and older gear, like a casio VL-1. there is also a small string orchestra. The second, "dein lied" (your song), is a collection of existing popular 20th-century songs taken out of context and a few originals. The third is a "best of" collection of published and previously unpublished material.
