'Taking Pictures' is the new album from Brooklyn-based Australian-born vocalist and songwriter Jo Lawry, to be released through ABC Music/Universal. The new album is the follow-up to 2008's acclaimed 'I Want To Be Happy,' which earned Jo sparkling reviews in The New York Times, Time Out New York and Downbeat Magazine – in which the album was described as "one of the best CDs of the 2000s."

Featuring "Impossible," a duet with Sting – with whom she has toured since 2009 as both backing vocalist and violin player – 'Taking Pictures' sees the chanteuse step from jazz into a more guitar-based singer/songwriter sound. Recorded in New York and produced by Jo Lawry herself, along with Will Vinson (who also features on keyboards and saxophone), the 10-track recording ranges from the gorgeous, effortless sway of "Impossible," to the multi-layered sweep of "Adelaide," to the brittle and heartbreaking "I Said No."
