Bear Hands are a post-punk and indie rock band consisting of Dylan Rau (vocals/guitar), Val Loper (bass), Ted Feldman (guitar), and TJ Orscher (drums). Hailing from New York, United States, and formed in 2006.

After funding the recording of their 2nd album ‘DISTRACTION’ themselves, they sent a copy of it once it was completed to an independent PR friend based in London who in turn recommended the band to management behemoths Q Prime – home of Muse, Foals, The Black Keys and many more. With Q Prime on-board, Bear Hands soon inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records.

With character, creativity and pure songmanship in abundance, the global appeal of ‘Distraction’ should ensure that Rau will have a new chance to broaden his horizons way beyond the mid-West. “We’ve always aimed to write pop songs because that’s just what we like, but we also like all sorts of different styles,” affirms Feldman.
