Don McLean's 'American Pie' and Harry Chapin's 'Taxi'. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Roger has been performing for over thirty years and at the age of 19 was opening concerts with national recording artists such as Pat Benetar, Robert Palmer, Bruce Hornsby, Seals & Croft and Hall & Oates, to name a few and continues to do so. In March of 1999, Roger was invited to perform before the members of the United States Congress and their families at the Bipartisan Congressional Retreat held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Performing both on piano and acoustic guitar, Roger commands a varied repertoire offering a wide range of performance styles in English as well as Spanish. During his performance the audience becomes a major part of the show. Choosing selections from a request list that contains over two hundred titles. From sing-a-longs, to emotionally charged ballads they become woven by Roger's ability to masterfully intertwine a highly polished level of artistry, along with an easy going, light-hearted sense of humor, into a powerful, charismatic stage presence. Although Roger performs the songs of many contemporary artists such as Elton John, Billy Joel, the highlights of his shows are undoubtedly his stirring, heartfelt originals. Delivered with seemingly effortless control by a voice that covers over three octaves, his music and lyrics offer introspective and powerful insights into not only the soul of this artist, but of the world around us. Roger tours extensively each year in resort areas and colleges throughout the country. He has been performing regularly in Key West for several years, at Sloppy Joe's, The Bull, The Hogs Breath, Captain Tony's and The Casa Marina. This versatility allows him to tour extensively each year in Europe, as well as in resort areas and colleges throughout the U.S. He is also a regular performer in Las Vegas and on board the ships of various cruise lines throughout the Bahamas, Caribbean and the Mediterranean. Feeling equally at home either in the mountains of Colorado or the beaches of the Bahamas, quoting Roger, he says: 'One thing's for sure, as long as God sees fit to grant me these gifts he has bestowed upon me, in my heart, voice and soul, you can count on me to share them and paint the world with song.'
