VOV DYLAN is an Australian Violinist with music that flows from every fibre of his body. A third generation musician, VOV DYLAN was born to the Violin and was first recognised at 21 months of age. For his latest Album Release "World Lullabies" he was joined by Guitarist BRIAN DEAN to capture 20 of the most beautiful lullabies from around the world to "soothe your baby to sleep" - this innovative and extraordinary CD will benefit Starlight Children's Foundation. "As a violinist I have always strived to bring joy to audiences. Starlight Foundation is ALL about helping find joy and happiness for children who need it the most," VOV DYLAN said. "I am delighted the World Lullabies is able to help Starlight, where every 8 albums sold, will go towards helping 1 kid in the Starlight rooms for a full year. This is something I am exceptionally proud to be doing".
“It’s so wonderful to have the support of music artists, like Vov, supporting sick kids and their families during what can be a difficult time. We are delighted that together we will be making a difference with a portion of proceeds from World Lullaby CD sales coming to Starlight,” said Holly Roberts, State Partnerships Manager, NSW.
"World Lullabies" features an amazing selection of Lullabies from "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", "Edelweiss" "What A Wonderful World", "You Are My Sunshine", "Can't Take My Eyes Off You", "Dream A Little Dream", "Wooden Heart", "Que Sera Sera", "Hush Little Baby", "Amazing Grace", "Rock-A-Bye Baby", "The Cradle Song", "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars" plus Lullabies from China: "Ni Wa Wa"; from Japan: "Yuki Ya Konko"; from Italy: "Chi Baba Chi Baba"; from Poland: "Spij Kochanne"; from France: "Frere Jacques"; and from Ireland: "Too Ra Loo Ra Loo Rai".
Performed by only Violin and Guitar, World Lullabies is a beautiful way to allow babies to slumber, with music that is familiar to parents so that could sing-a-long, or to allow the music to stand alone, introducing the baby to the sounds of acoustic classical instruments with pieces from around the globe.
