Life Long Detroit Area Resident/Musician, Jimmy Lewis, Releases Debut Album, after raising his family and a successful career. Upon his recent retirement after having spent 30 years doing cartwheels in the backyard of Corporate America, Jimmy Lewis has decided to return to his roots and fulfill his life long dream. On May 31, 2008, Lewis (age 54) released his debut CD/album entitled "The Passion's Back". Back in the 1970\'s, Lewis paid his way through college playing music all over the Ann Arbor and Southeast Michigan area. Although he did spend time (briefly) performing in a Wedding Band, writing and recording parodies (for local Detroit area radio stations) as well as songs for charity, during his business career and raising his family Lewis did not have the time to dedicate to his love of music. He did however write over 50 songs that touched on many styles and emotions. The album contains 12 of those songs, mostly in the genre of adult contemporary/pop. In addition, the song "Christmas At Ground Zero" is included. The song, which was played on radio stations all over the State of Michigan during the fall of 2001, was written after the events of September 11th, with the profits given to charity. The influences in the likes of The Beatles, James Taylor, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young are evident throughout the CD. It is Lewis' intent to sell one or more of his songs, through an A&R Rep at either an established or independent label, for one of their artists to record. However, the CD is available to the public.
