Family members Laura Stitt and her two cousins, Shannon Stitt and Danny Stitt have over time created one of Sydney's most exciting up and coming Funk/Soul acts, "Uncle Jed". After years of writing together they bring there self titled debut album to the table in style involving some of the most recognised session musicians in the industry. From the blaring horns to the captivating strings, the album was recorded over two weeks with some of the songs written years ago around the camp fire on family holidays and some written weeks before hitting the studio. With band members being influenced by so many different genres from hardcore music to reggae to jazz the result is soul filled solid groove with an amazing voice.
