Music can rekindle joy so your spirit can soar. Haven't you felt that too? Our friend Jerry is absolutely transported as he welcomes Holiday into his home. All of his life, regardless of circumstance, nothing could dampen his spirits at this time of year. He relishes the joys of Holiday, and he relives the traditions with friends, and food, and music. Here's a little bit of how "Here Comes Mrs. Santa Claus!" came about: In the 70s, Johnny (composer, jazz pianist, arranger) and his friend Doris (sharp ad exec) were marveling at this new "Women's Lib" phenomenon. Women were standing up for themselves, and asking for equal treatment. Imagine...that could touch every aspect of life. It could impact longstanding traditions. It could raise questions. They explored the notion of Holiday. What if Santa Claus couldn't make his annual sleigh ride...and Mrs. Santa saved the day! So Johnny and Doris wrote "Here Comes Missus Santa Claus." Johnny and Hani (singer) have given "Mrs. Santa" a makeover for the new millennium. We hope that this delightful story will become a new Holiday tradition for you! Johnny Knapp is straight-ahead jazz pianist, composer, arranger and educator. He has recorded on hundreds of albums since the 60s including several with Sheila Jordan. He's done everything from playing (piano) with the Johnny Richards Band, to Monday night Jazz at the Page Three in New York City, to the Hollywood Bowl and the Olympics. Johnny released his own CD of jazz piano, "In His Hands," in January 2009. It's spirituals, and includes three songs of his. He's written over a hundred songs and is a member of ASCAP. Hani Stempler is a performer and recording artist, originally from New York City. She's released two CDs, "Hani: From My Heart" in 2004 and "Hani: I Believe in Love" in 2006. She also recorded the vocals on tracks for Johnny's "In His Hands" CD. Hani is also a lyricist and member of ASCAP. Claudio Corsi is an international recording artist, writer and producer, originally from Venezuela. Claudio was recently nominated for a Grammy; the ceremonies are in Las Vegas, NV in November 2009. He lives in Florida.
