With a succession of platinum albums, sold-out global tours and headline festival appearances to his name, RAMMSTEIN’S RICHARD KRUSPE might choose to spend his off-duty hours re- booting batteries and soothing the spirit. But ‘resting on laurels’, or the German equivalent, isn’t within the guitarist’s primary frame of reference… Whilst Richard remains firmly ensconced within the ranks of Germany’s premier rockers, EMIGRATE – his other “outlet” – stands as a way of keeping workaholic instincts comprehensively tapped; it’s not a side or a solo project, more a much-needed conduit for a body of fresh ideas, musical and visual.

The first self-titled album (Top 10 German chart entry in 2007) saw Richard delivering a full 17 songs, the follow-up, ‘Silent So Long’, featuring some very special guests like Lemmy Kilmister and Marilyn Manson.

Eleven new songs will be released later this year not only featuring his longtime companion Till Lindemann and the beautiful voice of Margaux Bossieux but the anthem “1,2,3,4” in collaboration with Benjamin Kowalewicz (BILLY TALENT). “A Million Degrees” - his third album - is a bold statement adding some new layers to the DNA of EMIGRATE.
