The concept for this project came as I began to think about releasing a songwriter's demo. Songs I had been writing at the time all included themes about work and life in general. I began recording these tracks on a simple 16-track in my study, transferring them ultimately to an audio editor. This unconventional way of getting this music out of my head and onto a CD led me to the working title, Simple Man Demos. The finished product took about one year to complete. The title song, Simple Man Demo, came late in the songwriting of the project and talks about demonstrating the life of Christ simply. It pretty much put the lid on this project and gave the album more cohesiveness than I ever thought it would. I am married to my lovely wife, Lisa. Together we have raised two beautiful daughters. I go to work each day, punch a time clock and earn an honest living. My house is within a few miles of where I grew up and where my Mom and Dad still live. I like the feel of a new set of strings on an acoustic guitar, the smell of freshly mowed grass and a crisp morning sunrise. I don't clutter my life with a lot of frills...and I find much peace in that.
