In this entertaining new series, presenter Griff Rhys Jones embarks upon a series of adventures across the magnificent British countryside - from the chalk hills of the South Downs, where he paraglides over Devils Dyke, to the worlds very first seaside resort along the Yorkshire coastline, from the breath-taking beauty of the Lake District to the wild bleak splendour of Dartmoor. He will explore eight very different kinds of uniquely British terrain from Lakes to Moors, Wolds to Downs and Coasts to Borders - to find out how the landscape affects the way people live and work and play. In each programme he will take on a different challenge each set to test just what it means to be British.
