'I'm Not the Man That I Thought I'd Be' is a blast of three new songs from 80's hardcore revivalists, Western Addiction. The title track is a heavy dose of straight forward, teeth-rattling rock that marks an expansion of WA's sound. 'I'm Not the Man That I Thought I'd Be' is also accented by guest vocals from Dara Santhai of the metal band Serpent Crown.

The B-side of the 7" contains two tracks of the throttling hardcore that Western Addiction have become known for. "Clatter and Hiss" is also a preview of things to come, as it will be re-recorded and appear on WA's second full-length due out later this year.
