The debut album from 7 Days of Funk, the new band of Snoopzilla (Snoop Dogg) and Dam- Funk Snoopzilla is the funk alias of Snoop Dogg, the multi-platinum hip-hop artist who has received 15 Grammy nominations and sold over 30,000,000 records. Dam-Funk is a Modern Funk artist widely credited with the revival of funk music. His debut album Toeachizown was described by Pitchfork as “a work of real transcendence.”

This is Snoop’s first album with a single producer since the 1993 album Doggystyle. Funk legend and former Slave member Steve Arrington features on 7 Days of Funk, as does the rapper Kurupt and his rap group Tha Dogg Pound.

In the UK, 7 Days of Funk’s debut single ‘Faden Away’ has already received airplay from such tastemakers as Benji B (BBC Radio 1 / 1Xtra) and Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music). Globally, the project has received high-profile coverage from the likes of Pitchfork, and the band has performed live on national American show Jimmy Kimmel Live.

7 Days of Funk will be released on Stones Throw Records, the cult LA independent label behind such successful artists as Aloe Blacc, Mayer Hawthorne, Madlib, Quakers and J Dilla.
