The Finnish rock band are back with their eighth album ‘Tears On Tape’.

Tears on Tape was originally written acoustically, and was then transformed into a loud and heavy rock album, the type HIM are traditionally known for. The album is a follow up to the band’s 2010 record ‘Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice’ which reached Gold Certification in Finland and was placed in the Top 50 Album charts in the UK, the US and Australia.

Tears On Tape is an energetic, loud and brutally powerful album that fans worldwide have been waiting in anticipation for. Singer Ville Valo says he wanted the album to have the “heaviness, without losing the sentimentality”. The band returned to their roots and recorded Tears On Tape in Helsinki, and has been described as their heaviest album to date, but still heartfelt and lyrically meaningful.
