Elaine Paige OBE is an English singer and actress best known for her work in musical theatre. She made her first professional appearance on stage in 1964 and her appearance in the 1968 production of Hair marked her West End debut. Paige was selected to play Eva Peron in the first production of Evita in 1978, for which she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Performance of the Year in a Musical.

Filmed in Sydney at The State Theatre –a beautiful old Edwardian venue –on 31st October. 'Celebrating 40 Years on Stage' is a Greatest Hits tour celebrating her 40th Anniversary in showbiz, and includes some new material, together with all her West End / Broadway hits. She also tells anecdotes from her career in an in depth interview. This is the first time she?s been filmed in concert since 1991.
